The second month of the year stayed steady with the first as home inventory stayed low and the amount of buyers is still high. In the Greater Harrisburg Area the average days on market in February was 30 days on market which was consistent with January’s days on market, but is just about a 50% decrease from the 57 days on market in February 2020, just one year ago. There were 567 new listings for the month and 531 total active listings on the market for the month which was a slight decrease from the previous month. The total units sold for the month of February also slightly decreased to 453 units from January’s 490 units. The average sales price in the Greater Harrisburg Area for February decreased by about $8,000 from the previous month to $222,543 while the median sales price also decreased by about $5,000 from the previous month to $190,950.
