New listings in the Greater Harrisburg Area in October increased to 863 new units on the market from Septembers 745 new units. Total listing inventory increased as well from the previous month to 766 active units. However, even with the increase of active units in the market, the total number of units sold decreased from 789 in September to 773 units sold in October in the Greater Harrisburg Area. The average sales price increased to $234,319, 2020, a $15,000 increase from October 2019’s, $215,998. The median sales price also increased to $206,100 which was also about a $15,000 increase from the previous year. The average days on market decreased from 46 days on market in October 2019 to 31 days on market in 2020 as the number of homebuyers continued to stay steady.
