The real estate market in the Greater Harrisburg Area stayed consistent with the previous months as the inventory of homes continued to stay low in relativity to buyers. The average days on market decreased slightly from 31 days on market in March to 22 days on market, which was a 50% decrease in days on market from 50 days in April 2020. New listings in the Greater Harrisburg Area increased to 907 new units from March’s 791 new listings while total active units stayed steady with the previous month at 557 units. Total units sold increased just slightly from March at 686 units sold. The average sales price in the Greater Harrisburg Area for April was $243,068 which was just a $1,000 increase from the previous month but was an increase of almost $15,000 from the previous year (April 2020). The median sales price for April was $225,000 which increased by $20,000 from the previous month.
