In the Greater Harrisburg Area the real estate market continued its trend as the inventory of homes available on the market continued to decrease in December. With the decrease in the number of homes available along with the decline of days on the market, prices continued to increase. The average days on market stayed consistent with the previous month at 26 days which was a 50% decrease from the average days on market in December 2019. New listings on the market hit 434 units in December which was down from November’s 685 new units, and a 50% decrease in new listings on the market from October, just two months earlier. Total active listings on the market hit 649 units which was a slight decrease from November’s 781 active units. The total number of units sold in December slightly increased to 744 units from November’s 728 units sold. In the Greater Harrisburg Area the average sales price was $237,350, which was an increase of about $5,000 from the previous month and an increase of over $20,000 from the previous year. The median sales price slightly increased from the previous month to $217,750 which was almost a $30,000 increase from the previous year.
