New listings in the Greater Harrisburg Area in August stayed consistent with July at 906 new units on the market, just a slight decrease from July’s 950 new units. The overall total number of units sold also stayed consistent at 824 units sold in August from July’s 880 units sold. The total listing inventory drastically decreased from 1,918 units in July to 831 units in August.
The average sales price increased to $244,186, 2020, which was a $25,000 increase in average sales price from August 2019. The median sales price also increased by $20,000, from $194,900, 2019 to $215,000 in August 2020. The average days on market continued its decrease from 38 days in July to 36 days in August as buyers continue their search for a new home.
